TYRE ROTATION
Regular and proper tyre rotation promotes more uniform wear for all of the tyres on a vehicle. The "Straight Rotation" method (see fig on left) has been used since the early years of radial tyres. This method of rotation helps promote a more even and uniform treadwear pattern for all four tyres. These tyres would remain on the same side of the vehicle and be rotated straight forward and straight back. As certain high performance tyres are uni-directional, they must be kept on the same side of the vehicle as these tyres have treads made to rotate in the direction designated on the side of the wheel.Tyre rotation is recommended every 8,000-10,000 km.
As it is our standard operating procedure that wheels are balanced after servcing(i.e. brakes servicing) before remounting, we will rotate and balance your wheels at the same time.

TYRE BALANCING
Properly balanced tyres are important for driving comfort and long tyre life. Unbalanced tyres can cause vibration, resulting in driver fatigue, premature tyre wear and unnecessary wear to your vehicle's suspension. Tyres should be balanced when they are mounted on wheels for the first time or when they are remounted after repair. Tyres should be re-balanced at the first sign of vibration. Vibration may also be due to misalignment or mechanical problems.
The symptoms of a wheel that is out of balance are:
Vibration in the steering wheel at certain highway speeds.
Vibration in the seat or floorboard at certain highway speeds.
Scalloped or cupped wear pattern on the tires.
To balance a wheel, the technicians at H TYRE will mount it on a balancing machine which spins the wheel to locate the heavier part. He will then compensate for the heavy part by attaching a lead weight on the opposite side. This service is coupled with other services which require the wheels to be dismounted.
WHEEL ALIGNMENT
A vehicle is said to be properly aligned when all suspension and steering components are sound and when the tyre and wheel assemblies are running straight and true. Proper alignment is necessary for even treadwear and precise steering. Uneven front- or rear-tyre wear, or changes in your vehicle's handling or steering response (i.e. pulling to one side) can indicate misalignment. Many vehicles today are equipped with rear suspensions that can be adjusted for alignment. Your vehicle may need a "front-end" alignment or a "four-wheel" alignment, depending on the symptoms you are experiencing. The moderate cost of having your vehicle aligned can more than pay for itself in tyre mileage, performance comfort and fuel economy.
The symptoms of a car that is out of alignment are:
Uneven or rapid tire wear
Pulling or drifting away from a straight line
Wandering on a straight level road
Spokes of the steering wheel off to one side while driving on a straight and level road.
As different cars have different sized undercarriages, different methods are required to re-align the cars to the true position(larger cars require more effort to align). Therefore there exists different prices for alignment of different sized cars.
