RADIATOR COOLANT EXCHANGER
There are commonly 2 situations where an exchange of the radiator coolant is encouraged.
The first situation arises when you start noticing a change in the colour of the coolant from a pale, yellow- greenish looking colour (in its good condition) to one that is dirty brown. This is when the quality of the coolant deteriorates and rust collects in the coolant mixture. A full coolant flush at this point not only eliminates existing rust in the cooling system, but also replaces the old coolant with a new batch of coolant.
The primary purpose of the coolant is to aid in the maintenance of a stable engine temperature, especially in ensuring that boiling will not occur under very hot weather. The additives within the antifreeze material of the coolant fluid also double up to help prevent rust and corrosion in the radiator, the engine and the heater. Therefore a new flush of coolant helps to maintain a longer lasting cooling system.
The second situation arises when there is the presence of deposits in the cooling system. These damaging deposits result in premature deterioration of system components such as water pumps, heads and engine blocks! Flushing is also recommended in this case to get rid of these deposits from the cooling system.
In order to keep your car's cooling abilities intact, it is recommended to come down to H TYRE to have your coolant flushed with our SC-2000 machine every 40,000 km.
